Essential Ranch Upgrades
Spray tank and boom mount: 15-25 gallon spray systems mount in the bed for chemical application, weed control, and dust suppression. Rear implement hitch: category 0 or 1 hitch receivers allow towing of small trailers, ATVs, and implements. 12V power takeoff for electric fence chargers, water pumps, and job site tools. Locking cargo boxes for securing medications, tools, and supplies in the field.
Working in Any Weather
Full cab enclosures with heater are standard equipment on serious ranch UTVs. You lose time and productivity when weather keeps you off the machine. Polaris, Can-Am, and Kawasaki all offer factory cab systems for their utility models, or aftermarket cab systems from Seizmik or SuperATV.
Communication and Safety
A CB radio or GMRS radio is essential on large properties. Mid-land and Cobra make UTV-specific mount kits. A fire extinguisher mount on the cage is cheap insurance in dry fire seasons. LED amber or red flashing lights improve visibility when working near roads or in grain harvest conditions.
